Lonnie Walker IV Sees Himself Fitting Perfectly With Lakers
Lonnie Walker IV inked a one-year contract earlier this offseason to join a talented LA squad. His signing was made official Wednesday, after which he spoke to the media and said, "I'm very excited for this opportunity. … I'm here to win." Walker made clear that he would embrace his role, whether that be as a starter or reserve. The 23-year-old also expressed confidence that he could improve upon his career 31.4% shooting percentage from beyond the arc. With Malik Monk departing in free agency (Sacramento), Walker will likely have the opportunity to be the premier scoring option on the Lakers second unit.

Lonnie Walker IV Remains Out On Monday
Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's meeting with the Houston Rockets. The 23-year-old sustained a head injury last week and has not yet cleared the league's concussion protocol. This will mark his fourth consecutive absence. Philadelphia is once again short-handed for Monday's game, resulting in expanded roles for players like Jared Butler, Jeff Dowtin Jr., and Ricky Council IV. Quentin Grimes, who is averaging 26.4 points this month, is poised to continue leading the offense.

Lonnie Walker IV Out Of Action Versus Pacers On Friday
Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) won't suit up against the Pacers on Friday. The 26-year-old picked up a concussion on Wednesday versus the Raptors. Walker signed a two-year, $3 million contract three weeks ago with the 76ers. With several Sixers players out with injuries, Walker played at least 25 minutes per contest in four of his last six outings. His next chance to get back in the lineup is Sunday versus Dallas. Unfortunately, Walker may miss more time as he must pass through the league's concussion protocols before returning to game action.

Lonnie Walker IV Signing With 76ers
Lonnie Walker IV to a deal on Tuesday. The two sides have agreed on a two-year, $3 million contract. Walker was waived by the Boston Celtics in October and has been playing overseas since then. He has bounced around in the league quite a bit, but most recently played with the Brooklyn Nets in 2023. Walker is averaging 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists during his career in the league. He'll now compete for rotational minutes for Quentin Grimes and Jared Butler. This is a low-risk move for the Sixers that could end up paying off nicely for both sides.

Lonnie Walker IV Gets Exhibit 10 Deal With Celtics
Lonnie Walker IV is still on the hunt for a new team after spending last season with the Brooklyn Nets. According to Shams Charania, the six-year veteran is signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the reigning NBA champ Boston Celtics. Earlier in the week, Walker was seen working out with players from the Sacramento Kings in an informal workout, and now he has a chance to get on the roster with the Celtics. Walker averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting .423/.384/.763. He hasn't been an everyday starter at any point in his career so far, so if he makes the team he'd likely be a depth option.
