Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV inked a one-year contract earlier this offseason to join a talented LA squad. His signing was made official Wednesday, after which he spoke to the media and said, "I'm very excited for this opportunity. … I'm here to win." Walker made clear that he would embrace his role, whether that be as a starter or reserve. The 23-year-old also expressed confidence that he could improve upon his career 31.4% shooting percentage from beyond the arc. With Malik Monk departing in free agency (Sacramento), Walker will likely have the opportunity to be the premier scoring option on the Lakers second unit.--Jesse Borek
