Pete Alonso Doubles, Draws A Walk On Monday
2 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso helped the team defeat the Cincinnati Reds 7-4 on Monday. He went 1-for-4 with a double and a walk in the game. The Polar Bear is coming off of a fantastic month of June that saw him slug .627 while racking up nine homers and 22 RBI. Over 79 games on the year, the 27-year-old is hitting .276/.356/.545 with 22 home runs and an MLB-leading 69 RBI. He's currently maintaining a career-high average launch angle of 19.7 degrees and his .575 xSLG is also a career-best mark. Expect to see plenty more home runs from the Mets slugger the rest of the way this year.
