Riley Greene Hits Walk-Off Homer On Saturday
Riley Greene chose the perfect occasion to hit his first major league home run. In Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals, he came up to bat during a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning. He went on to hit a 432-foot, walk-off homer to center field. The rookie batted leadoff on Saturday for the second straight game, and it seems likely that he'll remain in the leadoff spot going forward, which makes him all the more intriguing for fantasy purposes. Through his first 12 MLB games, the 21-year-old has slashed .302/.434/.442 with 10 walks compared to eight strikeouts.

Riley Greene Homers For Second Straight Day
Riley Greene went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a walk in Friday's 5-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Greene has been hot in May, slashing .320/.404/.680 with five home runs and 11:6 K:BB over 13 games. The 24-year-old is posting career-best quality of contact metrics with an excellent 15.5% Barrel% and 48.3% HardHit%. After slugging 24 home runs last season, Greene has already slugged 11 in the first few months of 2025. Greene will look to continue his power surge against the Blue Jays this weekend and remains a strong fantasy asset in all formats.

Riley Greene Out For First Game Of Doubleheader
Riley Greene is resting for Game 1 of a doubleheader at Coors Field on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies. Zach McKinstry will join the lineup in left field and will bat in the three-hole against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. Fantasy managers should expect Greene to return in the second game of the twin bill. The 24-year-old left-handed-hitting-outfielder has been swinging a hot bat recently for Detroit, going 13-for-32 (.406) with four home runs, eight RBI and eight runs scored in eight games since April 28 to raise his season slash line to .266/.315/.475 in 139 at-bats. McKinstry is in a lefty-lefty matchup, which usually isn't a good thing, but he's had reverse splits so far in 2025 and has gone 12-for-33 (.364) with three RBI against southpaws this year. Treat him as a DFS sleeper at Coors Field in a prime lineup spot on Thursday.

The 24-year-old got another at-bat in the ninth frame and crushed a two-run shot off Jake Elder for his second home run of the game. Greene became the 62nd player to homer twice in one inning. He made history, becoming the first player to ever hit two long balls in the ninth. Greene has now homered four times over his last five games. Overall, he is slashing .276/.324/.504 with eight home runs, 20 RBI, and 19 runs across 136 plate appearances. Greene should be in all fantasy lineups while he continues to wield a hot bat.
