Gregory Soto Notches 15th Save On Wednesday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Gregory Soto struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn the save during Wednesday's 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants. He entered the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 27-year-old needed just 10 pitches to retire the Giants and earn his 15th save of the year. He has been solid as Detroit's primary closer, posting a 2.57 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts over 28 innings in 2022. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Soto in all league formats.
