Triston Casas Begins Baseball Activities
2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (ankle) began his hitting and fielding progression on Monday, according to Steve Hewitt of the Boston Herald. Casas has been sidelined by an ankle injury since May 17. Casas remains without a timetable for a return to action at Triple-A Worcester but he is progressing in the right direction. Casas is highly regarded in the Boston farm system, ranking as the No. 2 prospect for the Red Sox by MLB Pipeline. The 22-year-old is hitting .248 with six homers, 22 runs, and 22 RBI across 129 at-bats in 2022 for Worcester.
