2 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed outfielder Tyler O'Neill (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain on Monday. Fellow outfielder Lars Nootbaar was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. O'Neill suffered the injury on Sunday while he was running the base paths. Juan Yepez could stand to benefit most from O'Neill's absence over the next week and a half, though Nootbaar is sure to get some starts here and there as well. O'Neill's injury comes at a rough time as he'd been really heating up lately with a .354/.385/.521 slash line in June.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
