Aaron Ashby Expects To Make His Next Start
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers left-handed pitcher Aaron Ashby (forearm) was removed from his start against the New York Mets on Thursday with what was initially described as forearm tightness. However, after the game Brewers manager Craig Counsell stated that his removal was more related to fatigue. Ashby told reporters that he isn't expecting to miss a start and that he believes he can reach his full pitch count in his next outing, which is scheduled for Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 24-year-old wound up with an ugly line on Thursday. He pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, three walks and four earned runs while striking out five.
