Josh Donaldson Sitting Out Sunday
3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs. In his absence, DJ LeMahieu will start at the hot corner and bat leadoff against Cubs right-hander Keegan Thompson. Donaldson is hitting just .235/.335/.395 with five home runs, 18 RBI, 18 runs scored and one stolen base in 191 plate appearances over 45 games this year. The 36-year-old has had a rough start to the month of June and could probably use a little break. LeMahieu, meanwhile, has gone 9-for-32 (.281) with two home runs and seven RBI in eight games so far in June. He's a very attractive DFS target in the leadoff spot on Sunday against Chicago.
