Blake Snell Rounding Into Form
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell is rounding into form after missing all of April and part of May since returning from a groin injury. The 29-year-old allowed two earned runs across six innings while allowing two hits, three walks, and striking out six on Tuesday in St. Louis against the Cardinals. On the season, the former American League Cy Young winner is 0-2 with a 4.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts across 15 innings. Snell is slated for a tough matchup with the New York Mets early next week but can be deployed with a bit more confidence following his latest outing.
