George Springer Out With An Illness On Wednesday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (illness) is being held out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. He is dealing with a non-COVID illness. Santiago Espinal will be leading off for the game and Raimel Tapia will be covering center field. Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo stated that Spring will "be fine," so it's sounds as if he's being considered day-to-day. The 32-year-old is slashing .277/.353/.518 with nine home runs, 26 RBI and 30 runs over 46 games on the year.
