Seahawks Agree With First-Rounder Charles Cross
3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks and first-round offensive tackle Charles Cross agreed on a four-year, fully guaranteed $21.384 million deal on Wednesday. Cross becomes the highest-ever player drafted without an agent. His deal includes a signing bonus of $12.73 million and a fifth-year option. Because he played in an Air Raid system at Mississippi State in college, Cross is considered the best pure pass-blocking tackle in this year's class and has the tools to improve his run-blocking in Seattle's system. The 21-year-old should compete for the starting left tackle job in his rookie season, protecting either quarterback Geno Smith or Drew Lock.
