Brandon Nimmo Sitting Again On Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (wrist) will be held out for the fourth straight game on Tuesday as the team takes on the Washington Nationals. Mark Canha will be covering center field and batting leadoff in the game. Nimmo is dealing with wrist soreness. He received a cortisone injection on Saturday, but his recovery following the injection hasn't been as quick as the team anticipated. The initial hope was that he'd return on Monday, but the team has continued to hold him out. Nimmo should be considered day-to-day at this point. Over 42 games this year, he has slashed .293/.386/.452 with three home runs, 17 RBI and 29 runs.
