Eduardo Rodriguez Throws From 60-70 Feet On Thursday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (rib) threw from 60-70 feet on Thursday. After the throwing session, Rodriguez reported no symptoms. Tigers beat writer Cody Stavenhagen reports that Rodriguez will still need to do some "more intense throwing," but then after that, the Tigers hope he can "jump right into volume" while pitching from the mound. The Tigers' rotation has been ravaged by injuries, so it's good news for the team that Rodriguez hasn't had any setbacks thus far in his recovery from a rib injury. Over eight starts on the season, the 29-year-old is 1-3 with a 4.38 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.
