Matt Ryan Impressing At OTAs
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan has been off to a hot start in his first on-field workouts with his new team. Frank Reich offered his praise regarding what he has seen from his starter the last few weeks: "I always knew he was a great passer, but his accuracy is insane. It's insane." It's only May, but for a veteran quarterback joining a playoff-caliber new team and system, it is certainly encouraging for his prospects moving forward. The 37-year-old Ryan has the skill set and pedigree to be a substantial improvement over last year's starter, Carson Wentz. This could offer a boost for the other weapons on the team, including wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and rookie Alec Pierce, as well as tight end Mo Alie-Cox. All-world running back Jonathan Taylor should produce regardless of who is behind center but increased scoring opportunities and sustained drives can only help him repeat his elite performance as well.
