Kevin Alcantara Showing Promise In Single-A
3 years agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Kevin Alcantara went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and career-high six RBI for Single-A Myrtle Beach on Wednesday. One of the returns from the New York Yankees for Anthony Rizzo during the Cubs fire sale this past season, the 19-year-old is now hitting .248 with five home runs, 31 RBI and four stolen bases. At 6'6, Alcantara has a lot to offer physically and he has shown the ability to help across the board throughout his young career. With his body still maturing, the hope is that Alcantara can continue to hit and hit for more power as he goes through the Cubs system. For now, Alcantara remains a few years away from making a fantasy impact and is just a name for dynasty managers to file away.
