3 years agoCleveland Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against right-hander Cristian Javier and the Houston Astros. Josh Naylor will be filling in as designated hitter for the game. Reyes has yet to settle in at the plate this year. Over 35 games, he's slashing just .195/.255/.278 with three home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs. The 26-year-old has continued to make elite hard contact at the plate this year. His 94 mph average exit velocity is a career-best clip and it ranks in the 98th percentile.
