Edwin Diaz Records His 10th Save In Sunday's Win
3 years agoNew York Mets closer Edwin Diaz closed out the team's 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday to earn his 10th save of the year. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out two. Diaz was charged with his second blown save of the year in his previous appearance this past Thursday, so it was nice to see him rebound in a strong way. The 28-year-old has a 2.00 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP on the year to go along with a stellar 4.3 K/BB rate.
