Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Extends Hit Streak To 13 Games
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the team's 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday. He was also hit by a pitch in the game. Vladito has now recorded at least one hit in each of his last 13 games. However, he only has three extra-base hits over the 13-game stretch: a home run and two doubles. The 23-year-old launched six home runs and slugged .545 in April, but he's slugging just .373 in May. Expect to see the home runs continue flying off of Guerrero's bat once again soon. The slugger is still making elite power contact on the year, ranking in the 97th percentile in average exit velocity (93.4 mph) and in the 98th percentile in hard-hit rate (55.3%).
