Matt Olson With Just One Homer Over Past 22 Games
3 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson has been swinging the bat well so far this season. Over 32 games, he's slashing .269/.376/.462 with a 47.8% hard-hit rate (82nd percentile) and a 92.2 mph average exit velocity (90th percentile). Unfortunately, he's only mustered three home runs on the year and only one homer over his past 22 games. He currently has a HR/FB rate of just 10.3%, down from his career rate of 21.1%. He also has a career-high GB/FB rate of 1.52, up from 0.85 over his career. The 28-year-old just needs to start getting under the ball more consistently and then we should see the home runs start to follow.
