Antonio Callaway To Attend Colts Minicamp
3 years agoFormer Cleveland Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway will be trying out with the Indianapolis Colts. The 25-year-old and former fourth-round pick out of Florida had a tumultuous stint over two years in Cleveland. He had an opportunity to start, but faced multiple suspensions for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, ultimately leading to his release. After a brief stop in the XFL, Callaway attempted to revive his career with the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs, but never managed to win a role. In 25 career games (14 starts), he logged 53 catches on 98 targets for 695 yards and five touchdowns. The Colts don't have tremendous wide receiver depth behind Michael Pittman Jr. and rookie second-rounder Alec Pierce out of Cincinnati, but it will still be an uphill battle for Callaway to make the team.
