Manny Machado Riding 21-Game On-Base Streak
3 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado has been one of the best hitters in the majors thus far this year. He's currently leading the MLB with a .383 batting average and his 1.085 OPS ranks second in the majors behind only Mike Trout (1.188). Machado has reached base in 21 straight games, with at least one hit in all but three of those games. He's sporting a career-high 12.2% walk rate, up from his career walk rate of 9.1%. The 29-year-old looks well on his way to another elite fantasy season. He'll look to stay hot as the team travels to Atlanta for a three-game series against the Braves this weekend.
