Logan Allen Claimed By Orioles
3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles claimed left-hander Logan Allen off waivers from the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. Allen and first baseman Bobby Bradley were both designated for assignment by the Guardians on Sunday. Bradley cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus. Allen allowed three earned runs while walking three and striking out six in six innings over four relief appearances for Cleveland before being DFA'd over the weekend. The 24-year-old made 11 starts for the Guardians last year and had a 6.26 ERA and 1.49 WHIP with 17 walks and 37 strikeouts in 50 1/3 total innings. Allen will likely continue to work in relief as he tries to win a spot on the Orioles major league roster.
