Kenley Jansen Stays Perfect, Earns Seventh Save Monday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves closer Kenley Jansen continued his perfect save conversions this season in Monday's 5-2 win over the Mets. Jansen entered the game to pitch the ninth inning up by three and pitched a scoreless inning, allowing a single with no walks and a strikeout. The veteran has gotten off to a strong start with his new team, converting all seven of his save opportunities with a 2.70 ERA, 13 strikeouts, and two walks in 10 innings pitched. He has historically been one of fantasy's top closers, but there was some skepticism that he could be quite as good this season. He has quieted those thoughts to this point and fantasy managers should continue to trust him.
