The Kansas City Chiefs acquired defensive back Lonnie Johnson from the Houston Texans on Monday in exchange for a 2024 conditional seventh-round pick, according to a source. Johnson reportedly requested a trade after the Texans took cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. third overall and safety Jalen Pitre at No. 37 overall in this year's draft. The 26-year-old can play both cornerback and safety and will give his new team some flexibility in the secondary after they lost All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu in free agency. He was originally a second-round pick by the Texans in 2019 out of Kentucky. Johnson had 55 tackles (38 solo), three interceptions and six passes defensed in 14 games (seven starts) for Houston last year. He will not be on the IDP radar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
