Kyle Garlick Injures His Calf On Sunday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Kyle Garlick (calf) was removed in the third inning of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays due to right calf tightness. By the sound of it, a stint on the injured list could be coming soon. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli stated after the game that Garlick's calf injury was not "the most minor of occurrences." The 30-year-old has been almost exclusively used as a situational pinch-hitter this year, mostly against lefties. Over 26 plate appearances, he's slashing .238/.385/.667 with three home runs.
