3 years agoIt's been a slow start to the year for Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts. Across his first 17 games, he's slashing .209/.338/.328 with four extra-base hits (two home runs, two doubles), three stolen bases, five RBI and 17 runs scored. His 15% walk rate and run scoring output from the top of the Dodgers lineup have helped him regularly contribute for fantasy managers. But those have really been the only positives for Betts so far this year. He has a career-low 35.3% hard-hit rate and he's recorded barrels on just two of his 51 batted balls. Unfortunately, most of his underlying numbers look similar to where they were during his disappointing 2021 season, with a few metrics looking even worse.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
