ANALYSIS: Consensus top-ten outfield prospect Riley Greene is on his path to recovery from a right foot fracture and is starting to get back into action. The Tigers are eager to get the 2019 #5 overall pick back into batting orders, and per MLive.com, he could arrive in Detroit as early as June. Based on the current state of the Tigers' outfield batting options, it seems like Greene could be welcomed with open arms.

The 21-year-old Orlando-native hit for a .749 OPS with 16 XBH (five HR, eight doubles, three triples) and five steals (0 CS) in 221 AB from Rookie to Single-A ball in 2019. After the 2020 minor league hiatus, Greene bounced back last year in 485 AB from Double-A to Triple-A; producing 57 XBH (24 homers, 25 doubles, eight triples) with 16 SB in 17 attempts and a razor-sharp .301/.387/.534 slash. With that kind of well-rounded offensive skillset and power/speed profile, Riley Greene could be fast-tracked back into play and up to the majors, and in that case, he could make for a huge addition for Fantasy Baseball Managers in deeper formats.
