3 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle (neck) was a late scratch from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees. Initially, no reason was given for the scratch, but it was later revealed that Mountcastle was dealing with neck stiffness. According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, Mountcastle could have been available off the bench for Wednesday's game. He didn't wind up making an appearance in the game, but this report from Kubatko indicates that Mountcastle isn't dealing with anything significant.
