Royals Encouraged By Initial Check On Adalberto Mondesi's Knee
3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (knee) suffered a left knee injury during Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox. The injury occurred while he was diving toward first base to avoid being picked off. He was replaced after the incident by a pinch runner. After the game, Royals manager Mike Matheny stated that Mondesi's knee was sore, but that the initial check on his knee was "encouraging." The 26-year-old will be further evaluated on Wednesday. It seems unlikely that he'll partake in Wednesday's game. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day until we hear more.
