Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Out With Hamstring Tightness Tuesday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hamstring) is being held out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox. According to Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo, Gurriel felt some tightness in his hamstring during Monday's game. Montoyo clarified that Gurriel is only being held out on Tuesday as a precaution and that he could be used as a pinch-hitter in the game if his pregame workouts go well. Bradley Zimmer and Raimel Tapia will be joining George Springer in the outfield for Tuesday's game with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slotting in at designated hitter.
