Anthony DeSclafani Likely To Be Out A Few Weeks
3 years agoOn Monday, we received a few updates on the status of San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) courtesy of Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Slusser reported that DeSclafani visited an ankle specialist on Monday and that he had an MRI that revealed right ankle inflammation. The plan is for DeSclafani to resume throwing in a week and Slusser estimates that he will be sidelined for a few weeks in total. The Giants will have some holes in their starting rotation over the next few weeks as Alex Cobb (groin) is on the injured list as well. Sammy Long received a spot start on Monday and the team has yet to announce a starter for Wednesday's game.
