3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. Left-hander Tarik Skubal will be on the mound for the Tigers. The left-handed Blackmon hasn't had a history of bad splits against lefties, but this year, he's slashing just .143/.200/.143 against southpaws while he's hitting .269/.367/.462 against righties. Right-hander Yonathan Daza is getting the start in center field for Game 1 on Saturday. He'll be batting ninth in the lineup. Expect to see Blackmon back in action for Game 2 of the doubleheader with right-hander Beau Brieske on the mound for the Detroit Tigers, making his MLB debut.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
