Alex Cobb Diagnosed With Grade 1 Groin Strain
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb (groin) revealed on Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 groin strain. This is good news for the veteran, who has avoided a serious injury. He was placed on the injured list on Tuesday and he is eligible to return on April 30. It sounds as if there's a chance he'll be back when first eligible. The 34-year-old has pitched 9.1 innings over two starts so far this year and he's allowed 10 hits, two walks and five earned runs while striking out 14.
