Joe Musgrove Improves To 2-0 Following Tuesday's Win
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove led the team to a 6-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. He pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, one walk and two earned runs while striking out seven. The 29-year-old is now 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA and a 0.74 WHIP over three starts on the year. He's earned a quality start in each of his three outings. The right-hander has surrendered just one walk so far this year, leading to a walk rate of just 1.4% on the year, which is way down from last year's 7.2% walk rate. He'll look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which will be on Tuesday, against the Reds once again.
