3 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco (quad) has been scratched from the starting lineup for Monday's game against Kyle Hendricks and the Chicago Cubs. Taylor Walls will now be covering shortstop for the game. According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Franco is dealing with right quad tightness. The 21-year-old should be considered day-to-day until we know more. Franco is off to a great start to his sophomore year. Through 10 games, he's slashing .381/.386/.548 with five doubles, one stolen base, five RBI and eight runs scored.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
