Tanner Houck Unvaccinated, Can't Pitch In Toronto
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Tanner Houck revealed to the Boston Globe on Sunday that he is not vaccinated. This means that he won't be allowed to travel with the team to Toronto for a four-game series against the Blue Jays later this month (April 25 to April 28). As the rotation is currently set up, Houck would have been slated to start Game 2 of the series. Red Sox manager Alex Cora hasn't revealed who will start in his place yet. Houck struggled in his first outing of the year, but he had a strong follow-up outing this weekend. Facing the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, he pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out four.
