Kyle Lewis Taking Live Batting Practice
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis (knee) has begun taking live batting practice, according to Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto. However, he is not yet partaking in extended ST games. Lewis underwent knee surgery last year and has remained without a timeline to return to the field. He only played in 36 games last season and slashed .246/.333/.392 with five home runs, 11 RBI and 15 runs. He'll be returning to a different-looking Mariners team as Jesse Winker and Julio Rodriguez are now regular starters in the outfield. Lewis will likely be a reserve outfielder once he's back.
