Alex Cobb Strikes Out 10 In Giants Debut
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb had a strong debut outing with the team on Tuesday. Facing the San Diego Padres, he pitched five innings and allowed four hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out 10. The Giants' offense blew up for 13 runs in the game, so Cobb coasted to an easy win. The 34-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Giants this offseason. Last year, with the Los Angeles Angels, he made 18 starts and went 8-3 with a 3.76 ERA, a 1.26 and a 24.9% strikeout rate. He's slated to make his next start on Monday against the New York Mets.
