3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game against Madison Bumgarner and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Michael Brantley is covering left field for the game while Aledmys Diaz is slotting in at designated hitter. Alvarez is off to a slow start to the season. Over four games, he's gone 2-for-14 at the plate. However, both of his hits were of the extra-base variety (home run and double) and he also hasn't struck out yet, which is especially encouraging to see. Fantasy managers should remain patient with the 24-year-old, who will most likely be back on the field for Wednesday's game.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
