Wander Franco Tallies Three Hits In Sunday's Win
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco helped lead the team to an 8-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two RBI and a run scored in the game. It was his second three-hit game of the year already, however the double was his first extra-base hit and he hadn't attempted a steal before Sunday's game. Franco is now 6-for-11 on the young season. The 21-year-old slashed .288/.347/.463 in his first exposure to the majors last year. He showed great plate discipline in the majors last year, striking out just 12% of the time. He has immense upside and if he can put it all together this year, we may be talking about him as a first round pick next spring.
