Teoscar Hernandez Hits Three-Run Homer In Opener
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez helped lead the team to a comeback 10-8 victory over the Texas Rangers on Opening Day. The 29-year-old had the biggest hit of the day for the team. He hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning that brought the game to a 7-7 tie, after the team had trailed 7-0 in the middle of the fourth inning. Overall, Hernandez went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, three RBI and two runs scored. Last year was a career-best season for Hernandez as he slashed .296/.346/.524 with 32 home runs, 12 stolen bases, 116 RBI and 92 runs. He should be in for another big season as the cleanup hitter for one of the league's best offenses.
