3 years agoOutfielder Justin Upton has officially cleared waivers and been released by the Los Angeles Angels. The 34-year-old was designated for assignment a week ago. He is now a free agent and can sign with any team. Upton has spent 15 years in the majors. Last year, he appeared in 89 games for the Angels and slashed .211/.296/.409 with 17 home runs, 41 RBI and 47 runs. It seems likely that another team will take a chance on him, at least with a minor league contract.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
