Seth Beer Delivers Walk-Off Home Run
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman/outfielder Seth Beer hit a walk-off home run to lead the team to a 4-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Opening Day. The 25-year-old hit a three-run home run off Padres reliever Craig Stammen in the ninth inning. To make matters more fun and fitting, his heroics came on National Beer Day. Beer spent the bulk of the 2021 season at Triple-A, where he slashed .287/.398/.511 with 16 home runs, 59 RBI and 73 runs over 100 games. He also saw his first exposure to the majors last year, appearing in five games for the D-backs and going 4-for-9 with a home run. He's certainly someone worth keeping an eye on for fantasy purposes. The playing time should certainly be there and his minor league history shows both power potential and the ability to hit for a good average.
