3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck) is preparing to test his stiff neck through some on-field work ahead of Thursday's season opener against the Washington Nationals. Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo states that Nimmo is feeling better today and that there appears to be a chance that Nimmo will be in the starting lineup, despite the fact that the team has already submitted a lineup card without Nimmo included. DiComo also added that it's likely, at the very least, that Nimmo will be available off the bench for the game. Starling Marte is currently set to lead off for the Mets and play right field with Jeff McNeil in left field, Mark Canha in center field and J.D.
