3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) is set to suit up for Thursday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Valanciunas sat out Tuesday's game due to a sore right ankle. Willy Hernangomez filled his spot in the starting five for the contest and wound up racking up 12 points and 12 boards over 26 minutes. Hernangomez will shift back to having a minimal bench role upon Valanciunas's return. Over 72 games on the year, Valanciunas is averaging 17.9 points and 11.6 rebounds per game while sporting a sturdy 54.3% field goal percentage.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
