3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Jose Cisnero (shoulder) was placed on the 60-day injured list on Wednesday due to a right shoulder sprain. Pitchers Will Vest, Drew Hutchison, Jacob Barnes and Elvin Rodriguez have all made the Opening Day bullpen. Infielder Willi Castro will start the year at Triple-A. The injury troubles continue for Cisnero, whose 2021 season ended early when he injured his elbow falling down the stairs. The 32-year-old will miss the first couple of months this year. The Tigers will also be missing veteran Andrew Chafin to open the season, so the Tigers will have to step up in the late innings in order to get the ball to closer Gregory Soto. Cisnero had a 3.65 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP, four saves and 62 K's in 61 2/3 relief outings in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
