Travis Jankowski To Travel With Mets To Washington
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Travis Jankowski will be traveling with the team to Washington ahead of the club's season-opening four-game series against the Nationals. This means that Jankowski will be part of the team's Opening Day roster. The 30-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Mets in March and he has seen a lot of playing time this spring. Over 11 spring games, he's slashing .235/.409/.235 with no extra-base hits. Jankowski has been a journeyman the past few years. Last year, he appeared in 76 games with the Philadelphia Phillies and slashed .252/.364/.351 with one home run, five stolen bases and 24 runs. He'll be a reserve outfielder with the club to start the year.
