LaMonte Wade Jr. Injures Knee On Monday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. (knee) suffered an injury to his left knee while running the bases during Monday's Spring Training game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The injury came in the first inning of the game. He legged out a double, then injured his knee while coming around to score. He left the game after the inning. According to Giants manager Gabe Kapler, initial tests on Wade's knee were promising, but Wade is slated to undergo further evaluation on Tuesday. The 28-year-old had his best year in the majors last year, slashing .253/.326/.482 with 18 home runs, 56 RBI and 52 runs over 110 games. He'll be one of the team's primary outfielders, but he'll typically be out of the lineup against lefties, whom he slashed just .135/.200/.189 against last year.
