Logan Webb Named Giants Opening Day Starter
3 years agoThe San Francisco Giants have officially named Logan Webb the team's Opening Day starter. The 25-year-old right-hander is coming off a breakout season during which he went 11-3 with a 3.03 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP. He increased his strikeout rate from just 18.7% in 2020 to 26.5% in 2021. Webb is currently being drafted as a top-20 starting pitcher in fantasy drafts. He's a solid No. 2 starter to target in or around the fifth round. He'll be supported by a strong Giants' lineup and a pitcher-friendly home ballpark in 2022.
