Chris Archer Signs One-Year Deal With Twins
3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed pitcher Chris Archer to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million. He is expected to join the team's starting rotation. The 33-year-old has been plagued by injuries over the past few years. He missed the entirety of the 2020 seasons after undergoing surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome. He was then held to just 19 2/3 innings with the Tampa Bay Rays last year and he posted a 4.66 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over that stretch. We'll see if he can rejuvenate his career from the backend of the Twins' rotation this year.
